Default Frame cleaning and paint

I am planning on either renting or buying a sandblaster to strip the frame of an 80 Flt to bare metal. Is there a recommended paint for frames specifically or do most just use a standard automotive type paint. Probably just going with a good glossy black if that matters.

Thanks,
Tazz

Probably have to have someone do that for me huh? Is that more durable?

It's way more durable than paint.
If you're willing to drive it up to Goodlettsville, there's a great powder coater there that has done a ton of show work and does all of the powder coating for the Harley dealers up here.
He has done all of the coating on my bikes and he's very reasonable on price....Good guy too.

Mr. Speed Coatings, 618 North Main St Goodlettsville, TN. (615)812-7317.

I strongly recommend carrying the frame in their rather than calling the guy about it, he's very busy and can be a little short on the phone.
Top quality work though....it's a father/son shop and the son is into motorcycles and is definitely the one to talk to.
