Default Front Brakes and Rotors on 95 Heritage

I'm about ready to replace my brakes on my Heritage and notice that there was some wear on the rotor and didn't know if i needed to replace it or can they be turned like a car rotor?

The rotor cannot be turned like the automobile disc. They must be replaced.

It only needs replacing if it is beyond specifications. Usually, it will look fine on one side and not on the other.

Depending on mileage. You may can get by with using sandpaper on the disc to make it somewhat new again.

That's exactly what it looks like. It looks fine on the side that is farthest away from the wheel but it has some cuts/groove on the other side. Well that looks like that's about $200 down the drain. LOL

I wouldnt consider itas 200.00 down the drain...Id consider money for good brakes as money well spent, but I know you didnt mean it that way...

I have cut a MC rotor before. My train of thought was as long as I didn't go any further than the min. thickness stamped into the rotor I was good to go. I had the bike for another 8-9k after that before selling it.

Well it looks like I have 0.010" left on my front rotor until it meets the min. thickness. Just wondering if i should go ahead and replace it or ride on. What does everybody think??

Replace it...I guess a worse case scenario is that if it got hot enough,it could crack..in that case it would be dangerous.
