As far as I know rubber for dot4 and dot5 is different and can be destroyed by wrong fluid.

True, DOT5 will swell any organic seals and overtime, well... my intention is to run DOT4 fluid in this system to preserve the Brembo Caliper seals - much easier to swap out the M/C piston seals if they fail.

My thread update - finally:

Completed this project in spring 2017 - all components installed perfectly but had to upgrade to progressive springs and 20wt oil to eliminate excessive nose dive . The only issue that I encountered was having to use the stock anchor screws (45405-75A) to secure the FXDXT lowers to the FXD stock slider tubes because the FXDXT screws (45399-96) are hollow to permit fluid flow adjustment and would compromise performance - I also haven't been able to locate a DOT4 label for the reservoir lid but that's OK :-) Total expenditure $882.00 not including my labor.

I think one thing to note is that the DX forks use a 10mm bolt to secure a cartridge damper inside the fork. The FXDs use only a 8mm bolt to secure the damping rod. You might want to make a sleeve.. The external plug on a DX is compression damping valve. You can simply plug the hole..

You have to be able to "read between the lines" to get the correct one for a 2004-05 Dyna because they really didn't make a Dual disc model other than the FXDX (in the U.S. anyway, dunno about other countries).

Can you cancel or return your order? I can get you on the right path if needed
I could use some help regarding the right oem number for that part. I have an dyna superglide fxdi 2004 and i want to make the double disc aswell but cant find the right slider that can fit on the right side, maybe u can point me in the correct direction?

Use a 45922-08 (Silver) Right Side Slider with Caliper Mounting for your 04 FXD with 1" axle
