I'm thinking schedule 40 PVC is the answer, particularly if bike is water cooled.

Pex is easier to "manipulate" Mick ... Just a thought :>)

You're right, Larry, but I get the feeling this master builder wants a rigid frame.

I see he qualified his post to remove confusion as to the intent of his construction plans. I retract my earlier statement and remind the budding bike builder that getting paint to stick to that galvanized tubing is going to be tough.

I don't think paint is in the grand scheme of the build in order to retain that retro look sure to turn heads at Starbucks.

Edit: I want it known there is nothing in any of my posts in this thread I intended to be construed as negative.

I guess he can use conduit if he re-enforces it with unistrut.

he could build it out of these things, as long as you don't try and ride it. maybe some playdough for tires ?
