Can I make a 39mm wheel fit an 35mm front end??
I have a 77(i think) superglide with adual brake 35mm front end with a cast 19" wheel. I'm looking to put an 19" spoke wheel as the cast wheel looks horrible. The cheapest I've found is from Fog Hollow @ $225, is there cheaper elsewhere? However, there are a couple 19"s on ebay running for about $150 or so. Basically what I'm wanting to know is, can I take a wheel for a 39mm and make it work on my 35mm? I work in a tool shop so machining shims or whatever isn't a problem. Also, I'm not that crazy about running dual discs so if it's only possible to run one disc I'm not that worried about it, actually I would prefer it. Or am I better off grabbing my toes and buying the fog hollow wheel?Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

well yo could look for a lowrider or convertable spoked front that takes twin discs and that should work. Thing is if you want to go single disc you have to change your master cylinder as well so you could end up paying more than just buying the aftermarket wheel.
