Would I use break cleaner through the lines? What will get the crud out of there?

DO NOT use brake cleaner!It will damage the rubber seals.
Flush/bleed the system with the correct brake fluid.

Well the deed is done ...

I emptied the mix out of the system, flushed with denatured alcohol until it ran clear, blew compressed air through the system to further clear it, reverse bled and ran through the bleeding process to remove the air.

Everything appears to be working as designed.

just get a mity vac at auto zone it will suck the fluid out add more dot 4 to flush the system several times i removed dot 5 ran dot 4 thru twice i run dot 4 its better only good thing about dot 5 is it dont harm paint dot 4 is my choice in my 06 sporty i got ate brand there is dot 5.1 even better same properties as dot 4 takes more heat than dot 5
