Default Valve stem choice

Seems like a silly question but...

What type of valve stem, metal or rubber, if given the choice?

Biplys, on cast wheels if it makes any difference.

Metal, no doubt about it. Providing they fit the wheel ok, you can tighten them down, they don't move, they don't crack, they last forever.

Hmmm......they're may be some metal valves coming from foreign countries that may not be too good. They probably won't fit right, they will leak, they will crack when you tighten them and they will rust in 2 days. But they're cheap.
