Brembo brake pad wear indicator?

Brembo brake pad wear indicator?
Are the grooves in the pads pretty much the indicator to replace? Pads look a bit "thin" but with 16k miles there is still quite a bit of the "grooves" left. I have no new pads to compare against however.

Yes that is what they are for!! The pads aren't very thick to begin with!!
