Sportster solid rear wheel
Hi all, new to this forum....
I have a 2008 883 Sportser and I'd like to fit a solid rear wheel.
Do I need a Sportster wheel or will a Fatboy/Softail/Dyna wheel fit?
Also if the wheel is the right size (16x3) can I just swap out the bearings from a different model or is there other specifics I need to think about?
Thanks for any info!

First off - welcome to the forum.
This post is located in an area that doesn't get a lot of traffic - but you don't need a lot of traffic, just an answer...
If you want a solid wheel, you won't find one off a Dyna. But... A 2000 - 2006 Fatboy rear will fit.
I bought one off Craigslist and it was a direct bolt on (using my stock spacers) for my 05' WG.
From the HD website on the FatBoy rear wheel -
16" Rear Fits '00-later XL (except '11 XL883L), 00-'05 DynaŽ, '00-'02 SoftailŽ (except FXSTD), and '00-'08 Touring models

No bearing swap necessary... (as long as the existing bearings are in good shape)
Just bolt on your pully & rotor (using new bolts!) and reinstall to your bike using your stock 3/4" axle & spacers.
Literally, that's all I did for mine.
