Default '98 -'03 Road Glide Lowers vs '04 and later ?

Greetings,

A coyote committed suicide using my engine guard and lower right side fairing 6 weeks ago in the wee hours of the a.m.. The guard was easy to replace, the right side Road Glide lower fairing (which blew apart,) not so much...( For those that don't have a reason to know, FLT lower fairings are very different than FLTR lower fairings.)

Watching E Bay ads, all that has shown up is a left side lower which would have been perfect if it was only a right side!

Today there is a set of '04 and up lower fairings and I wonder what difference that makes on my '00 S/E Road Glide.

I know that in '04 Harley tilted the shark nose down a few degrees from the earlier models and that was about all that was different. So why would '04 lowers not easily fit my earlier bike?

I'm certain that I can make it work, but I am curious as to where my customizing will begin!

As always I appreciate the room's advice...

Thanks!
