RE: metzeler vs. dunlop elite 3
I've been also looking for some info about tyres on the internet and i decided to get Metzeler ME 880
Now i have stock D 402 Dunlop tyres on my Dyna and i've neverhad singlebad experiance duringmy ride.
I made 8000 km and my fronttyre become bold. Rear tyre isn't that bad, but it is time to change both tyres.
I've read on some BMW Turing forums that riders made approx.18-20.000 Km with ME880. They saying thatME880arevery safe on the rainy or dry surface.

In the desert the only tire that sticks to our slippery road surface is the 880 metzeler. I tossed the new dunlops before I took my last two bikes home from the dealer. The tires last right down to the liner two rears to one front and the tire shop has really good prices. I even bought a blem for almost half the retail all it had was a funky glob in the wide white look for the blems you cant go wrong espically on the rear that you cant see.

Dunlop D402 Police Tires are my favorite. They tend to stick to the road as much as I need them to. Mileage has been excellent with the rear lasting almost 15,000 miles one time and that was the best I have ever gotten on a bike. And I usually find these less than the standard D402.
That tire cannot be that bad...considering all the HD Police Bikes come with them. If they sucked or were unsafe....Ipromise the Police forces would not be using them.
My only gripe is that the Police version is a little more difficult to mount though. Other than that....they are hard to beat.
