Default flushing used caliper

I got a good gma caliper at a swap-meet but of course I forgot to ask what type of DOT brake fluid was used in it. I have a brand new master cylinder that I plan on using DOT 5.
Do I just get extra DOT 5 and assume it was the same? Nope, right?
Do I buy a few bottles and just pump lots and lots through?
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Tom
