Default Progressive Suspension for FLHR

Good Day,

I am looking to change out the stock rear suspension on my 03' RoadKing. I am looking at the Progressive Suspension 444 Heavy Duty. I have three questions, what would be the standard replacement height for my Motorcycle(Progressive has 14"-10" i believe)? How would my ride quality change if I lower by 1/2". Is the Heavy Duty right for me, I am a fat bastard and tend to ride 2up with the misses.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Hi DK, from reading similar questions over the years I would recommend you phone or contact Progressive direct. They will advise you on the best model, may even be able to supply springs matched to the two of you. Stock shock length is 13".

just did my rear shocks with the 412's. great shock for the money, you may want the 412 HD's. im waiting to put the front springs in. 13" is stock height. 444's are twice the cost of the 412's, not sure i could tell a difference or justify the increased price.
