Fuel Moto X-Over pipe kit

I am eventually going to upgrade my decatted head pipe to the FM 2-1-2 header but my question is regarding the x-over pipe kit. I am eventually going to add cams (probibly the TW-222) but with funds I am going to have to piece mill my exhaust. Now, will the full size x-over be alright to do now or would the stock crimped pipe be better for more back preasure till I do the cams?
