Default Can you purchase Harley paint from somewhere else?

My '09 SG has some nicks and etc that need to be touched up. But Harley charges a stupid amount of $$$ for paint. My bike is red hot sunglow, something like that.

Is there any company that has that paint and doesn't charge my left nut for some?

If you have the paint code PPG or others should be able to match it. My painter did mine perfect but I guess "vivid black" is hard to muck up.

If dealer is worth his salt he'll give you the paint number and you'll be on your merry way, but then again

it is probably a two stage top coat w/ candy base and a pearl top coat before the clear. so will need that for a correct look. do you have an airbrush? try looking at www. paintwithpearl.com most paints including HD uses something similar. the black pearl they sell is an EXACT match to 05 HD black pearl! ask me how I know

I came across an ad for ColorRite when I was waiting on a shop to finish putting tires on my truck. There were some bike mags in the waiting area and their ad caught my eye and I pulled them up on my phone browser. Pretty slick site, enter your bike year and model and get all the paints from that year. I know nothing about them, but I put the address in my phone in case I needed them someday...they seem a bit pricey to me, but I have no idea how they compare w the dealer:

I used color rite a few years back to match the paint on a bike. It was a exact match. Not cheep but a good match.

Color rite has worked for me as well. Bought a rattle can with my color in it and painted a fender and it matched perfectly. Also, bought the clear coat from them. Not real cheap but worked for me.
