Default Stage 1 exhaust change

Hey everyone, I'm new here. Quick question I own a 09 fat bob with the se heavy breather air cleaner and the se slip on mufflers. I have had the stage one remap from HD. My question is if I want to change the whole exhaust to say vance and hines short shots will I have to get the bike returned? Or am I OK just bolting up the new exhaust the way it is? Looking to get the bike dyno tuned down the road. Thanks for the help.

No. Your dyno will be a big help.

If you've already had the bike tuned for a freer-than-stock muffler, and a freer-than-stock air cleaner, and you simply change to a different freer-than-stock component, you're fine to ride until you get the dyno tune.

OK i see. No I will not have to get it returned. A dyno tune would be useful though. I read it wrong the first time thanks for the clarification.

Those short shots are going to backfire like crazy until you get the bike tuned. I'm sure you can live with it until you get it dynoed.

if you get a cobra fi 2000 you can doing anything any time to engine and exhaust, as it adjust itself to any changes you make. Cam, exhaust, even weather and elevation.
A little pricey , but no worrying about any future additions. My local mech. sells it for 450.00

On my '07 I had a stage 1 with SEAC and SE slip-ons and changed to a 2-1 Thunderheader and it seems to run better and sound better with no other changes.
