I rode a trike... and I liked it!
Demo days at the dealer today. I got to ride a couple new bikes, the Street 750, the new Road Glide and the Freewheeler trike.
All were very different, but I had never ridden a trike before. I was surprised, positively so. Turning felt very odd, but I got used to it. I did put my foot down at one stop, just out of habit. I always thought that I would just have to ride a trike someday, because I just could no longer handle a Touring bike two up with the Mrs. Now, what the heck, it will all be fine. Trikes are not to be feared. Heck I enjoyed the ride.

I agree. When my Limited was in the shop, the dealer gave me the last bike they had in their rental fleet. It was a Tri Glide, and in two days at the beach I put almost 700 on it I liked it so much.

Those that have never tried one will criticize them though and tell you how bad they are. They have no clue about how much fun they are to ride. Of all the bikes I've had and ridden, my trike is probably my all around favorite.

Wouldn't bother me to ride one. Those tri glides are sweet. I didn't care for the free wheeler though. It looks good but felt small and cramped to me. I think it was made for short people,

I agree. I always thought Trikes were a step down. Thy are certainly a step in a different direction, but not down.

Took a close look at the Freewheeler the other day. I think it looks pretty cool and the trunk has a lot of storage. Looks like a Softail up front and a salesman told me it's a Softail frame. Then another guy said it's a Road King frame so I don't know. Either way I'd ride it...but it needs a windscreen 1st! And it's one of the few HD's that sound pretty decent w/ stock mufflers.
