Someone posted a while back looking for the part # for the clamps on the HD quick release detachable windshields.

Ordered one a while back andfound the box.

Clamp part# 57192-05.

Fits quick release detachable windshield 58346-06 and other models like it. Cost about $20.

Not listed on the HD parts site, but dealer can order it.

If you bought your windshield new and a clamp breaks you should be able to get it replaced free at any dealer. I know, I had 2 break and had them replaced at different dealers. They are cheaply made POS's.

 

Bought the windshield from Zanotti and they replaced the clamp for free.

Ordered a spare clampfrom the dealer. So far haven't needed it.

After breaking one before and seeing what they're made of, I cringe every time I squeeze that handle down.

 

I've been loosening the clamp screw to the windshield before re-installing.

Then closing the clamp, then re-tightening the screw.

Works fine now, althought I rarely remove the windshield anymore.
