Could have been a great weekend
Instead... Bike loses power Friday afternoon. Triple A hauls it to the dealer. This morning, they confirm loss of charging system. Diagnosis = fried stator. $425 and won't be done til Tuesday or Wednesday.
Weather was beautiful and no bike. Rats!

Feel your pain. My voltage regulator(vr) went out Friday before Labor Day weekend and no vr in stock. Bike was not ready till the following Thursday. I did get the garage really clean though.

Must be going around.
My bike has been out since June with a dropped intake seat, Got that all fixed up and 134 miles later the bike dies.
Goes to mechanic who replaces ignition module. 8 miles later that fries becuase voltage regulator is shot.
Bike has been sitting at the mechanics for a week becuase he doesnt feel it's a priority to fix a problem he was paid to fix the first time he seen it

Sorry for your loss! BTW, if they offer after market options, for that money I'd consider upgrading to a Cyle Electric or Compu Fire 3 phase charging system. My current replacement has been in there for 90,000 miles and still going strong.

I have to agree with Stiggy. I just won't use anything but Cycle Electrics charging system parts when it comes to replacement. Replacing with OEM in many cases winds you up with the same old trouble again. I'm lazy and only want to do a job once.
