Default Used Bike Loan

Hi,
Just wondering where you would recommend to finance a used Harley. I have excellent credit and don't want to get hosed with fees and poor interest rates. I don't belong to a credit union.
I hear Harley's financing isn't all that good?
Thanks!

Do you own your car/truck? Refinance it and use the money to buy your bike, rates are much better for an auto loan, many won't finance a bike.

Just an idea

Harley (Eaglemark) can be good, they seem to have promotions for different bikes at didderent times. Also, if you are buying from a dealer, they should have financing sources other than Harley.

x3, credit union is your best bet. I bought mine 10 years old, and got a rate of less than 3%.
I got such a good deal at the credit union, I refinanced both my cars through them the next day!

I have good credit - got 4.99% from Eaglemark in June. Not horrible, but not awesome. Used them off the bat to make the purchase easier. Should be able to get 1.99% at my Credit union, just haven't done the legwork to do the re-fi.

Only thing to watch out for - my CU will only finance bikes 5 years old or newer, unless it's a Harley, then they will go as old as 7 years.

I ended up going through my credit union. The best Harley/Eaglemark could do was 4.99% AND they charhe a $299 BS fee, plus they wanted $150 for the agency to handle the registration/title. Moreover, the seller wouldn't get his money until a day or two after the transaction, because the title has to be sent off first. Understandable, but not very comfortable.

3.99% for 63 months with my credit union, no fees and a cashier's check made out to the seller within 24 hours after a notarized bill of sale has been executed.

Thanks for all the input.

Now on to finding the right Road King

Sounds good, but if I am the seller in a private sale, I am not signing a Bill Of Sale and waiting 24 hrs for the cash. I would be very suspicious.
