ViEDS and Decel Popping
I purchased and installed the FL-VIED-10 and installed it today. The main reason was I was hoping to get rid of the popping on deceleration that the bike has.
For the first couple of miles it worked great but then the popping came back. Not much difference than before I installed them.
This is not a thread to bash Nightrider. I really want to give them a chance.
My question is what else causes popping. I want to make sure I check everything before calling Nightrider. I recently changed exhaust V & H Straight Shots everything else is stock. The popping started when I changed exhaust.

I could not get rid of the popping on my 14 Sportster 1200 with V&H slip ons using VIEDs.
Had great results with VIEDs using Screaming Eagle slip ons.
Installed a Fuel Moto Micro EFI and a little popping was still present.
Contacted Fuel Moto, described at what RPM the bike was popping and they sent me a second map. That took care of the problem.
My thought is the V&H require more fuel added then the VIEDs can compensate for.

You might want to be very sure you are returning the throttle completely to off when coasting, this will definitely cause some minor backfire and popping

On my 1200C I had the X14IED with Viper slip-ons and it was popping like crazy. I added the TTIs from DK Customs and it reduced the popping by about 60% and the popping volume in half. I'm guessing a proper dyno tune would help.
