Default Powerlet vs. Gerbing: Jacket and gloves

Store I ordered Powerlet Jacket and glove liners (with dual controller) is out of stock on those items. They offered me Gerbing and will throw in the dual controller. I know a lot of us really like the Gerbing gear. Anyone try Powerlet? Is it worth waiting to see if they get it back in stock?

Thanks!

I have used Gerbing for several years and like both the jacket and gloves that I have. Last year I bought the Powerlet gloves and really like them. They are much thinner than any of the Gerbing gloves I have seen and the heat seem to be more evenly distributed. It's a good product.

No idea if Powerlet is any good or not, but I can tell you the dual controller is about a $90 value so getting it free would be pretty sweet.

I bought the Powerlet Jacket with the remote dual controller last year. Only go to wear it a few times so I've been messing with it some on the cool mornings were are having. It heats up almost instantly. Seems to have more heat in the front and back than in the arms. The remote controller seemed like it was always on even when turned off. I bought a HD dual controller and it works good with that. Only thing I really dislike about it is the lack of pockets for gloves or to keep the controller in. As far as getting Gerbings instead. The Powerlet is Probably as good as the Gerbings is but has a better warranty. I've never tried the new microwire stuff but my old Gerbings, a non microwire jacket is still going strong. The GF is using it. It keeps her nice and warm.

thanks for the replies guys. The PL gloves seem superior in fit and plug in to the Gerbers. I think I am going to hold out to see if The Warming Store gets them in.

I recently purchased a Gerbing heated jacket liner and I use it with a pair of H-D heated gloves that I've had for a few years.
I have a dual controller and I'm happy with both so far.

I'm seriously thinking about ordering a second pair of Gerbing gloves that I can use off of the bike as well (Hybrids).
Anyone tried these yet?

I have a problem with cold hands and I think these are a great idea.
