Winter is coming, miles?
I'll ride here and there throughout on the nice days but for us in the north the season is mostly done.
How many miles did you guys and gals do this year? Where did you go? Did you ride enough? Planned rides for next year?
I did 12000 since early october 2013. My year was highlighted by trips to bike weeks in laconia and ocean city. Also a trip to snowshoe, wv. All were amazing for different reasons.
I road enough but look to do 12-15k again by next october. Planning on sturgis and the dragon next year. How about you?

I did about 8000 miles this summer before I left to go back out to sea on my job. All of it on day rides from my house and through the Sierra Nevada mountains. I'll be riding this winter when I get back, but will be going down the hill instead of up until late spring.

We ride mainly on weekends when my wife is off. Some months she has 1 Saturday or Sunday off, sometimes 4. Even with that, we put 15-16k on it this year.
Our only over night ride was to Amarillo in June. The rest were running around Texas, on 10 hour, 3-400 mile days. This weekend, we did almost 700 miles.
We usually don't plan rides until we know she's going to be off, since they call her in to work on her days off. But we have thought about going to Carlsbad, New Orleans, Memphis, Dodge City in the future.

I average 12,000-15,000 miles per year, but don't ride much January thru mid-April -- has nothing to do with weather, I do tax returns and tend to work a lot of hours during the season, so not much time to ride.

I got over 10K miles so far this season, and I'm still riding. I only got to do one big trip this year to Maggie Valley, but I did a ton more riding locally than I have in the past. And now that I have good gear, I have a longer riding season (until the snow starts).

To answer your question, I average 11,000 miles a year.

Hoping for a few more rides yet up here in cheeseland. This weekend looks good.
I'm only sitting at about 1500 since I picked up the new bike on Labor Day.

I put a little over 12k in this year which, to me, wasn't bad considering I didn't get to ride any in the month of July. But like the OP, I don't ride much from here on out. My old bones can't handle the cold, not like they ever could really.

I don't get to ride as much as I'd like to these days. Between my job, family, and other responsibilities it's hard to get away often enough or long enough to do any serious damage to the odometer. I just ride when I can.
