Default does anyone have a GPS recommendations?

Since my we use a 12v adapter I'd like something I don't need to rely on batteries for. But also something what will allow me to put in custom maps since I also ride a ATV and do alot of offroad

I love my Garmin Zumo 660. I use MS Streets and Trips program to create custom maps then download to the card in the unit. I've heard folks say you can download maps to it from Google maps but I've never been able to do that. There's also several websites you can use but I like the MS program the best. YMMV

I use a Tom-Tom. I don't remember the model but it has a 5" screen and does what I need it to do. For the price of those motorcycle-specific models I can buy a newer version every other year for a decade and have the latest technology.

I just rode all day in the rain yesterday (mounted on my bars behind a windshield) and it didn’t miss a beat.

I just picked up a kyocera hydro life for 49 dollars from Metro PCS. It has a gps built in, but it'd need to be power sourced if I was going to use it for that on the bike. Program like copilot for 20 bucks or so, and I am pretty sure it'd work good.

Hooks to wireless for downloads without eating up all of your data. BTW, it's supposed to be highly water resistant. If you wanted, you could hook a bluetooth to the helmet for music and calls.

Have a Zumo 450. For years. Have left it (locked) on the handlebars for days in the rain; I want reliability first, then price...that's why I went for the 450 instead of more bells and whistles I wouldn't use...
