Quality of HD Special Tools
For those with experience with different brands of special tools - would you say that one brand is better than another as far as durability goes? In other words, if a tool was used regularly in a shop environment, is one brand better than another. I'm not specifically referring to any one tool but the brands in general such as Jim's, George's Garage, Heartland or Harley tools.

jims are more professional grade, while the Georges garage work well, but are for less usage. if you are only doing a job a couple times, I would use Georges, they are decent quality

I prefer those made by me...
Yep, most of them made from scrap metal laying around collecting dust. Most economical I've found, and if they break, I just make another one!

An active shop environment go Jim's or Harley for the regular use stuff , the occasional job the cheaper or homemade is fine. You want a shop at home that can handle the occasional job Georges stuff is fine and honestly after cruising the web site I'd venture a guess a lot of his stuff comes from K&L tools and Motion Pro.
80% of mine are self made and been working fine for years.
