Question storage question

Some people say a motorcycle should be stored on a lift or stand with the tires off the floor, which is supposedly good for the tires and suspension. Others say there's nothing wrong with leaving it on the sidestand; you just need to put it on a carpet runner so the tires and kickstand aren't on bare concrete. Who's right?

Last few years mine was in a rock floored garage, I just plugged charger in and left it all winter. I built a new garage this year and will basically do the same, plug her in and will move around some now that I can get out and do things. If I had a jack might leave it on it but don't so don't worry about it.

Unless your going to leave it parked for over a year at a time, I don't think it really matters.
Putting your bike away for a few months (Winter) really isn't "storing" it.
It can sit in your garage on a concrete floor on the side stand and not suffer any ill effects at all.

I keep mine plugged into a battery tender, but that is all I do.
But where I live the longest it has ever sat without riding is about a month and a half.

My bike sits on its side stand on a cement floor all winter. Every month or two I'll go out and plug in the tender over night. It's an '08 still have the original battery. Never noticed flat spots on the tires either. Lol

Our winters are 6 months long.

Leave her on the kickstand. "Some" people are idiots.

I've had motorcycles in my carport since moving here in 1996.
On their kickstands, but on a rubber mat with Astroturf on top-you never know when you want to go for a ride and having it all jacked up will slow you down..

I don't do either one. My bike is parked in my garage on a cement floor and all I do is put fuel stabilizer in the tank and hook up my battery tender and let her sit like that all winter. Basically I don't think either one is wrong or right, it just depends on what a person feels like doing.

I have an ATV jack,, I'll lift the weight off my suspension with the jack and a few blocks.
Am I wrong?

Unless you live in Antarctica, you'll be absolutely fine.

If you want to be free of guilt and worry, when you go out to check on it, roll it forward a foot, on to a different spot on the tires.

Than go have a beer, and pray for spring.
