I would like to change my 1997 Heritage Softail rear saddlebag guards. I'm looking for the Heritage Springer model. Unfortunately, the original HD part #49225-97 is discontinued and I can't find a used one. So I have two alternatives. I can put a new pair sold by USA-Biker at http://usa-biker.com/product/saddlebags-guards-rails-4-harley-softail-heritage-springer-flsts-97-99-new. They seem pretty fine but I don't know if they are well manufactured and strong chrome plated. Does someone know this seller? He offers a lot of parts for Evo Springer and i'm looking for feedback. Or I can try to mount an original HD twincam guard, part #49258-00. They're still available, but will they fit my bike? I think I've read somewhere on the forum that they are compatible with minor modifications but I can't find the thread anymore. So any advice will be greatly appreciated.
