Default 1" to 3/4 " Axle Adaptors

I've obtained a rear 2013 wheel to install onto my 2002 Softail. I didn't expect it to fit perfectly, but it's very close. The hub width's are identical, as are the rotor/pulley sizes.
The only problem is that the 2013 wheel is equiped with some fairly new bearings, but the 1" ID is too large for my bike. I could simply replace them with 3/4" bearings but the problem with that is the 1" bearings are much narrower than stock 2002 bearings, meaning I'd have to machine the wheel, to get them to fit, or find some narrow 3/4" bearings (and cut a 3/4" inner crush-sleeve too).

Another alternative is to fit these into the 1" bearings;

I'd only need slightly shorter spacers, and the whole thing would bolt in with the 1" bearings.

Anyone see any problem with this setup?

Never seen them.. but if you get them make sure you dont put pressure on the inner race without being backed up when you press the sleeve in.. that would destroy the bearing

No problems with them, I've used those and made several sets to adapt late wheels to the older 3/4" axle bikes , worked well. Here's a set for a front end swap I did. Only trick you have to watch is making sure the inside spacer between the bearings is supported too ( why I made mine a bit longer than the bearing race )so it doesn't get cocked off at an angle and damage the bearing seals.

Excellent! Thanks guys. Before I order anything, I'll mock it up in the Softail today without the adaptors just to be sure I can get it all in there. I'll post a pic!

Well, all is good, but I've learned a few things; since it's from a Sporty, the tire is mounted backwards from how my Softail would need it to be,

But this is just a mock-up.

The Sportster Superlow uses a very small 17 inch tire, it's a 150/50ZR17, so I won't be using this tire. (it's for sale, btw ), tire just came with the wheel.

So all is good. Just need to find a Superlow front wheel now. If I can't find one on eBay, or craigslist, I'll just order one from the dealer. Need to replace the fender too. This one barely covers the Dyna wheel, as this bike used to have a skinny 21" tire on the front...

Thanks again for the help, guys!
