Default This D&D exhaust is NOT loud

Took off my V&H big radius 2 into 2 and installed D&D low cat. Leonard recommended the quiet baffle, everyone on here goes on and on about how loud the quiet baffle is, even read threads where people said they got tickets...whatever! My bike sounds like a freakin Honda now....do the loud baffles sound like a Harley? Wish I had got the LSR, have heard one and liked the sound. I realize sound is subjective, but these ARE NOT in the least bit loud....and they do sound like a ricer.

Nope. The loud baffles are louder but in a raspy way. I'm running the fatcats with standard baffles and they sound ok. D&d pipes have a different but distict sound. They perform well , but sound raspy and hollow to me. I heard some with the performance baffle that sound good but they also have major motor work. I will not run a d&d again unless it's on a motor that's a 113" or bigger. I know they perform better but nothing sounds better to me than a thunderheader. I've had my fatcat for over 2 years

I have a regular baffle that I took out of my Fat Cat and replaced it with a quiet baffle.
If the low cat and fat cat take the same size baffles I will sell you mine for half the price D&D wants.

No, it is not perforated. The outside shell is solid metal. I have a picture attached of what the inside looked like when I first installed it.

Thats louvered. I think the only difference between "standard" and "quiet" would be whether they are wrapped or not - have heard there is not a big difference.

Here is perforated:

I was cleaning out the garage last week and thru a Big Bore baffle in the dump.
It was a non louvered straight thru baffle that had a real nasty rasp to it.

Oh well.
