Default Tuner Question

I purchased my 2008 HD Fatboy used from a dealer in Dallas (2013) It came with the Screaming Eagle Tuner. The bike has VH Pipes and a SE Heavy Breather. I am quite sure that is all the mods.

I know many of you have print outs of HP / Torque / etc. Is there a way to do this now that the bike has been tuned (previous owner) and I have no document?

I would like to know what it currently has as far as HP / Torque.

Got to put it on a dyno or find someone with similar mods who has the sheet.

Take it to the nearest dyno operator. Just have him run a torque/horsepower curve and tell him you want a copy.

Not sure the cost, maybe 100 to 300 bucks to have a dyno run done and maybe a fine tune in the process not to mention some fun watching your ride come alive!

If you could find out who/where did the org dyno, they should be able to still print you a sheet..

If not go to the Dyno Threads in the Softail or Touring Sections.. Lots and lots of sheet in those two threads...

In all my experience seeing Hundreds of (SAE) dyno sheets, I've found the Average 96''er with only STG-1 (pipes, A/C and dyno tuned Usually average..

83 #'s of TQ..
73 HP..

With a + or - (2) on both of them..

So 80-85 #'s of TQ and 71-75 HP...is probably where yours is..

Why spend money just to see some numbers? Unless more has been done to the bike than you stated it's going to be fairly mundane information. Maybe a better approach would be to have the bike dyno tuned. It may cost a little more but at least you might get something more useful for the money.

I'm with Bingee, why spend money just to get some info and possibly bragging rights? You should find a tuner who knows what they're doing with the SE tuner and get it tuned. Not only will get find out your numbers but in all probability the bike will run better. And the dealer may not be the best around to do that, do some research first.

Look around, some places offer free dyno runs at events. Saw the local Indian dealer do it not too long ago. They had a sheet posted of the indians hp/tq so you could compare yours to theirs. My CVO King pulled 118/110.

Bike runs great. Does not pop and accelerates very good. I see where 73 HP and 83 tq are about normal for a 96 with Stage One. Not sure I want to pay a great deal since the bike runs very well. I may check with some HD Dealers in the Dallas area to see if they tuned this bike.

Thanks,
SUP
