Riding in the cool

Riding in the cool
The bike just freaking loves it. As much as I hate the winter I look forward to the spring and fall when the temps are in the 50's. The right clothes and I'm gone for the day.
Anyone else like the cool? Notice a difference in the way the bike runs?

Absolutely, the bike just loves the increased air density performance is wonderfully enhanced! The trouble is around here (Southern MI) this time of year also indicates the end of the riding season. Careful riding until tires get up to temperature as with the increase in engine performance there is a loss of adhesion performance where the rubber meets the road.

The harley likes it. The wannabe is a PITA. Takes 25-30 minutes before she settles down and behaves. Diff between EFI and carb.

Yup bike does run a little consistent for me, both bikes I've owned have always preferred temps around 45-50. But the tires don't like it.
As for my truck it builds almost another pound of boost in colder weather. Heat soak sucks with a plastic intake manifold.

When I first started riding, riding in the 50s was always the best and wearing leathers made it that much better if the sun was out. I was warm and the bike was cool! It all comes down to fall weather.

Yep...my favorite time of year. After 7 years in Florida sweatin' my **** off I'll vote for a cool ride in the mountains every time. IMO a cold winter is a small price to pay for great riding in fall (Sept-Nov) and spring (March-May) around here.

Love riding in colder temps as much as warmer. Haven't noticed a difference in the bikes performance though. It runs like a top no matter the temp.
