As the title states, I came across this on local craigslist. Its a 1 owner bike, kick and electric start. Owner asking $3,500. Seems like a fun project to work on, but don't know much about 30 year old mc. Any thoughts?

 

For that price or a little less, I'd grab it. As long as it runs decent. The good thing is there easy to work on. If it needs a motor or trans or even tires, you may want to concider what that will cost before you buy.,,,

 

Not a bad asking price, offer in high 2k range and see if you can settle around 3K give or take a couple-o-hundge.

Evo engine....last of the good sounding Harley engines, very reliable, simple to work on.

Great "cleanup bike" so long as main components of tranny 'n engine are good.

 

EVO with a kicker...buy it!

 

Not bad. If it runs and rides then I'd offer $3k. If it doesn't run then $2k.

Op if it runs 3000 to 3500 is a damn fair price for your neck of the woods.

 

Agree with Twizted. If that bike was by me, it would already be in my garage and up on the lift. The 4 speed frame with an Evo is a great combo.

Sounded good except when the Evo engine came with a California cam.

 

That bike has a 4 speed transmission, but it does not have a 4 speed frame.

Evo engine won`t fit a stock 4 speed frame.
