Nice article and pictures in the latest issue of the HOG magazine. But, they left out the numerous number of feedlots along highway 50. Or as my son calls them, $hit factories.

 

been over 50 through Nevada numerous times (the loneliest highway) and never noticed any feed lots.

 

Kansas and eastern Colorado.

 

What's bad about it **** farms and all 50 hwy is still a relief for riders over I-70

 

Yeah the feed lots in western Kansas (Dodge City) and eastern Colorado are depressing, not to mention smelly. This, St Louis, and DC are the worst sections of US 50 which is otherwise a great coast to coast highway.

 

The Pueblo to Kansas section sucks. Canon City to Montrose makes up for it. Monarch Pass is fun! SJ Ron

 

We road 50 this weekend, it was windy as hell!!!!!

 

We rode highway 50 ( 7 bikes ) from Montrose to Pueblo...Colorado .....early June...great ride....loved the lake and the river...there were alot of rafters iat that time of the year, i suppose because of the snow melt....

Grew up on Hy50. Litterally, my parents owned a home located on Hy50 just outside the small southern Indiana town where I was born and raised. Scenic thru that part of an otherwise pretty boring place.

 

Rode 50 from Montrose back east toward Ky, lots of feedlots. But not going to complain about the smell. Grew up on a farm and like my steak !!
