Thinking about riding to NOLA in March. Any input on bike friendly hotel in the French Quarter? Need a safe location for parking.

 

Hotel Monteleone is the best. Hotel Mazarin is a very close second. Both great locations.

 

Try one of the Hilton branded hotels at the french quarter.

 

Ramada in the garden district (opposite side of canal) has underground secured parking and great rates (for French quarter).

 

Check out the Ponchartrain Hotel on St Charles. All rooms are different sizes and it seamed no two were alike. I had a piano in my room, a separate dining room, king size bed etc. A friend of mine's room was so small when you opened the door it hit the bed and you had to squeeze by just to get it. He joking said he had to get dressed laying on the bed. The place was first class though other than the broom closet room.

 

i like to stay at the prytania park hotel over in the garden district just off of st charles. the rooms are relatively inexpensive, parking is free, and it's just a block off the street car line ($3.00 for a day pass).
