My first reaction (and I could be way off base) is that it's one jacket trying to do too many things. I would buy a mesh jacket forhot weather if that's what you want and then a good leather jacket with removable liner and vents for the rest of theseasons.

One jacket can't do it all.

Looks like a tour master, for $175 (without the HD logos)

I have the tour master and really like it for spring and fall. Going to work in the morning is cold enough to set the jacket up with the liner, and coming home in the evening, run in the mesh set up and it's great.

 

I like the concept myself. I remember looking atthe version made for women a while back and thinking, "Man, it'd be nice to have something like that in a men's jacket." My Tour Master Intake Mesh jacket has the warmth and rain liners, but they're a bit of a pain to remove and put back in. I like the H-D jacket because you can take off the panels while you're still wearing it. Probably a jacket I'll get in the near future.

 

i got my switchback jacket last year. took the liner and some padding out right away. it is a very comfortable coat and the water resistant nylon does a great job of keeping light rain and drizzle out. it is very easy to remove the panels, 3 zippers total. the mesh underneath is very breathable and provides alot of airflow while keeping the sun off your skin.

over all i am very happy with this coat. and i am putting the shoulder and elbow padding back in after this snow melts, just for my well being.

i know that joe rocket makes the same jacket. the Alter Ego last year, this year Alter Ego 2.0. i wanted the one with harley on it.

 

I got the switchback last year also. It is quite a functional jacket. Works wellin many types of weather. A keeper for sure.

Just remember. If you want it, go get it quick. The Switchback was gone fast last year.

 

Think I will go with the Tourmaster. $100 more just for the HD logo ain't worth it.
