Default Has anybody tried the Go Cruise 2?

Saw this in the latest AMA magazine. Thought about getting one.

Not even close to a cruise control, though they try to make it sound like one. Just a throttle lock, little more sophisticated (or just more complicated) than most. I've used other throttle locks, work ok in flat states like Illinois and Kansas, but throw some hills in, and your speedometer plays yo-yo. I had a Suzuki that would go from speed limit to over 110 on fairly shallow grades with the throttle locked. I rarely used them when I had them, more effort to keep adjusting the gadget for changing road angles than just using the throttle.

I was thinking it would be nice on long hauls on the super slabs just to give the wrist a break once in a while. Not for total cruise control. The little factory triangle thingy is in a awkward location or I'd use that.

They're awesome on long trips. And when you get into twisties or stop & go traffic, there's no effort required to not use it. I just had the cheap plastic version and even that worked great. But this adjustable unit will work even better.

I tend to put on some miles and wouldn't want to be without some kind of friction lock. There are much better options out there that require throttle modifications & installation. But these are the simplest options that just slip over your grip.

Change your grips to the type that has a paddle on the throttle. I did it last month and am very happy.

Doesn't your FB already have a star wheel built into the switch assembly?

Yep, like I said above "The little factory triangle thingy" is in a bad location. Don't like taking eyes off the road to fiddle around with the star wheel.

The Klever Lever is the way to go; Snaps on the Star wheel and you just use your thumb! and for $7 you can't beat it.

Maybe for $7 I'll give it try. Probably won't be able to use until April, but thanks for the tip.
