Default Losing bolts

I'm goofing around as usual, trying to install new vance & hines exhaust pipes and then I accidentally drop a bolt inside the gap between the engine and the belt drive..
This area right here:

Is there any trick to getting the bolt out of there? I'm new with bikes and I got no idea.

Can you fit a magnetic grabber down there? Something like this:http://www.sears.com/craftsman-magne...p-00946946000P There are more slender ones to be found, some that are flexible - just a thought.

Or a three fingered pickup tool for reaching stuff just like you explained and we have all dropped.

Try using a air hose from a compressor to blow it out, that has worked for me in the past.

I'd just pick the bike up, flip it upside down and shake. Magnets are for pussies.

Kind of funny,, the Son dropped a bolt in that same place also yrs ago when adding new shift linkage to his new 09 NT..
We use magnets, mirrors and air for an hr and never found it..

Then the next day he called and found it about 10 ft away by his work bench......
