Doing an oil change and some carb tweaking on my dyna, Fired it up and was revving it a bit- and set off the guy across the street's alarm... on his house.

I had turn out exhausts on my old 85 softail. Used to set off car alarms. hehe.

nope nothing suspicious. I just think he had his alarm set to "gnat fart". Just shocked me because I had never set off a freaking house alarm before.

 

Wow! YOU are the a-hole. Seems to me the op was didn't realize his bike could set off a car alarm and was simply commenting on that fact, and perhaps seeking input as to whether it really could. Nothing in the op's post even remotely suggests that he was bragging, that his bike is obnoxious, or that he caused the car alarm to go off on purpose.

 

Car alarms...I can see that happening when you ride by. But a house alarm? How does a bike/exhaust set that off?

 

Some how I don't think it was your bike...
