Default Bike are interesting people are funny

Been lookin at bikes I still like the style of the Fatboy full fenders & solid wheels. If I understand it right this bike has a balancer system in the motor & is not rubber mounted. While the Fatbob motor is rubber mounted so the vibrations are supposed to be dampened better. What I think I really want is the rubber mounted motor with the full fenders & solid wheels.

Any suggestions??? Can it be ordered this way? Build it myself? What to you call a bike like this anyway, Fat Road Bart?

Heck I ain't fat I've lost 30 pounds 2 pounds less than when I graduated from high-school. Not braggin but...

Thanks, Bart Leetch

You could enjpy thw smooth running motor of the fat boy or possibly buy a road king and remove the bags.

The Fatboy has a "B" motor in it(balanced), and it will not vibrate like an "A" motor.
My Heritage has the same motor, and unless you hear it running, you couldn't tell it was running by looking at it.

My balanced Softails are smooth at any rpm. My regular motors are super smooth off idle. I like both but appreciate that the A motors do not loose some torque and hp to spin those two big counter balancers and their chain drive.

The look of the bike is more important than what engine it has. In my opinion my 07 FXSTC is the proper look for a bike and the best one HD stylist ever did.

Many of us still ride Evo powered Softails. We don't need no stinking balancers. And we don't need rubbers to mount.

Sounds like you are in the market for a Switchback. Full fenders and rubber mounted engine

In answer to your question. No they cannot be ordered with different engines. The reason why Softails are solid mounted and balanced is so the engine will fit in the frame.
