Default Kuryakyn floorboard relocators question

This is for all the folks who have installed the Kuryakyn floorboard relocators. I just installed them on my 2004 Road King along with the HD extended floorboard pans.

I got everything tightened up and am wondering... Are the floorboards suppose to move freely with no resistance? I can lift them up and put them back down and there is no resistance like there was before. They also rattle a little when I apply throttle without my feet on them. The instruction said to use washers as shims for the front mounts but I was not able to fit any washers in the gaps.

Is this normal? And if so, is there any way to tighten them up some?

I put them on my '14 RK; I was able to use washers as the instructions stated. And yes, the footboards are supposed to move, and do, although with a small amount of resistance.

The resistance washers are a pain to get in the small gap, but should be in there.
