Default Wiring exposed is this normal? (photo enclosed)

This has been frustrating as I was told when purchasing it was normal to have a sheathing gap but it has since widened.

We live 1,000 kms from the nearest authorised dealership and don't have another bike to compare it to.

I've checked it again and theres no allowance whatsoever to bring it forward.

Suggestions…..?

you can get one of the covers that are sold to cover up the plug and harness. I am under the thought that these covers help hold in nthe heat on the throttle body. I don't believe there has been any problems from the covers, but I don't want to take the chance. it doesn't show all that bad, really

doesn't matter. the insulation is still on the wires themselves. the contacts are covered and weather proofed. (Somewhat) water down in the sheathing won't cause any issues. and if you ride the bike soon after, the engine heat will evaporate the moisture

I would ask the dealer which wire are you suppose to cut to turn it off. My 04 does not look like that. That's sad even if it was 20K. However, is that the original filter? I think the original filter covered it.?

your 04 doesn't have an electronic throttle body, does it? and I believe thats the OE filter for a SE110
