Default Maybe this is why they're called "Stealers"

So I've got some new handlebars to put on and I stopped by my local dealer to pick up some of the little plastic retaining clips. If you don't know what I'm talking about - they are the little plastic zip-tie clips that hold your cables in place. I asked for 6 (4 for the bars and two more for when I swap out my spark plug wires). Well, they wanted $3 EACH for these little .05 cent pieces of plastic! Doesn't seem like much, but there's no way I'm going to spend $18 plus tax for 6 little pcs of plastic!!!

Nowif I can just get the old ones out...

If you're talking about standard zip ties, just go to any hardware/auto parts store and pick up 100 for $2.

I would like to watch the tryouts these guys must have to go through when applying for the job. Ability to keep a straight face must be the major test.

I was able to use my old ones when I just changed out my bars last week. If you're careful, they will come out and you will be able to re-use. They just have some plastic arow looking tabs that are failry pliable, they should work again. good luck

Hes talking about the circular shaped ones that have a pointed end and go in the bars. I reused mine on my Sportster. If your careful you can get em out without breaking them.

My dealer has handed them to me and said "Enjoy". Are you a regular customer supporting that dealer?? Anyway, next time try a NAPA store, cars use them also.
