Hello all. I have rode old sportys and shovels my whole life. I'm 38 now and it's time to upgrade. I want a cool bad *** chopper with a giant motor but I heard they are tuff on long rides. My old lady will be with me alot and she likes the Harley full dressers. Is there a reliable chopper out there that will be ok for my wife to ride on the back of? I can't afford the cvo screaming eagle road glide. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Maybee I could by an evo dresser and beef it up to look cool. How do you make a 90's dresser look cool?

Why not go to a dealership and see what used bikes they have? And I'm not sure if there's any "choppers" left out there...on not what I'd call a chopper.

Welcome man.

Bad *** and comfortable are usually mutually exclusive unless you have deep pockets.

Your OL will probably not like riding on a chopper for very long distances.

Any of the the tour bikes like the Road King, Electra Glide, etc. will be plenty comfy for her. It doesn't have to be an Ultra or CVO.

Your EVO dresser idea is spot on. Strip the crap off it, throw some apes on, a 21-23" front wheel. Maybe a custom fender or two. Nice saddle. And when you have the cash, an S&S V124 will slide right in there.

That's my plan for my next bike.

You don't say what your budget is. You can get a 2002 Road Glide with a 95" for $10K, put a 21" wheel on it and apes and you'd have an awesome touring bike.

No way there's anything I would consider a "chopper" that would be comfortable for a passenger. There's a reason guys are customizing baggers now.

Seen some pretty sweet RK's, street/road glides done up. Probably the only raked out harley that would have any amt of comfort would be the wide glide dyna or maybe the breakout. Def not as comfortable for a passenger as a bagger tho...especially on long rides.

IMO to get a Bad *** chopper look and a Comfortable bike for 2 up riding on a EVO budget can be done, but you'll have to shop around and it could take some time to get what you want..

thinking you need at least to different seat set ups and removable bags..

What "shovels" have you owned or ridden in your 38 years? Would love to see some pics.

Rake out an evo softail, put a decent size pee pad on the back with a sissy bar. Build or buy your motor and if she don't like it leave her *** home.
