I wish the Harley Davidson web site would say we're its going to be every week so I could check it out when in the area.

I found some place that listed the stops, Hog Mag I think? Like you I was interested in just trying out the bike but I think the closest stop to the northeast was Maryland! Too far for me to go just to see / ride a demo bike.

"Rode" the stationary display Livewire at Dallas Motorcycle Show yesterday. (Not me in pic.)

Sport bike posture. Weighs about 450 pounds. "Electric motor" sound. Said to have 30-40 minute runtime. Recharge on deceleration. Interesting concept. Said to be 2-4 years from production.

I rode the stationary bike in Sturgis last year. It is a very sporty riding position, but if the display is correct, man that thing can accelerate.

I did, a few months back. It's a lot of fun - very light, more of a sport bike experience. Accelerates like a rocket. Definitely a different riding experience from the positioning to the feel of the bike to the torque and of course the sound. It's not something you'd want to tour with or go hundreds of miles, (not that it could, battery-wise, anyway), but as an around-towner or commuter it could be interesting. I've been keeping an open mind to it and really did enjoy the test ride, so we'll see if it ever becomes a reality and if so how it's positioned within the brand. Based upon the feedback that I've seen/heard, my guess is that it will be introduced at some point.

Tried it on for size at Sturgis last year - at 6'6" and 250+pounds, I made it look like a toy. Interesting bike, but I'd not want to ride it farther than around the parking lot.

Not yet but I wouldn't pass up the chance. I'm not sure if the shop I go to has one. I should have asked when I was there yesterday.

Hell no ! I had no chance to ride it, cause the dealer had no electric extension cord long enough for a decent ride...(lol)
