Default Harley Interchange Manual

Does anyone know of an interchange manual for Harleys?

It's a manual that lists common parts shared among different models over different years.

That's the one I was thinking of. Unfortunately, it's now 32 years and two generations of engines out of date.

Don't think even HD has such a book, the dealers sure as hell don't. If looking for your bike, a lot of softail parts will interchange 1986-1999.

Anything in specific you are wondering about?

You can always use one of the online parts finders, and cross-reference the desired part numbers.

Nothing specific. But sometimes I find parts at the flea market that usually come off of different years or models even, and I thought maybe there would be a reference to see if it would work on my bike.

It was a longshot, but I know salvage yards have a similar reference for automobiles.

That's a good idea, thanks.

Only real differences in evo line was primary drivetrain and 3 frame designs, FXR vs the regular rigid mount FX or FL series. 92 & later Engines, tranny internals , clutches & wheels pretty all are common on evo's . Few bit's of weird with the heads on different years because of them playing with the breather system but pretty much everything 92 and later is common, early years on the engines you do need to know a bit about them as they changed things a few times.

Yeah, the Interwebs are extremely difficult to use. Specially if you have a high powered computer and don't know how to actually use it. That seems to be a real problem on here some times. JMO
