Rebuilding my Screaming Eagle HSR42 and can't get the pump rod bushing out to replace the rod boot. Does anyone know exactly how the brass bushing and rubber boot comes out of this thing? I'm sure it comes out from the bowl side but I just can't get it to budge.

Remove the float bowl and then the accelerator pump piston and spring. The rod should come out from the bottom through the hole in the accelerator pump cavity.

Edit: Oops, appears that your issue is not with removing the rod, but the bushing. Sorry, can't help you out there.

Thanks but I have that page, along with 29 others. Took it to Bens V-Twins, he drove it out of the bottom with a punch, slipped the new boot on it and tapped it back in. Great place to take your scoot.
Nowhere on the web could I find info on this, so,,, now we know. Thanks Ben.
