Default Have Police Gone Bat Crazy?

Work in a small town not far from where I live. Talked to a motorcycle officer this morning and he was riding a 2014 Police Bike with the new Bat Wing fairing. He loves the bike but I was wondering is this going on elsewhere? Or do I just need to get away and see the rest of the country? (Sounds like a good idea regardless.

I had to read your post about 3 times. Maybe you have gone crazy. The post really makes no sense.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. They are not using the traditional "Road King" setup. Looks like a Classic set up with the police equipment. Has a BATWING fairing.... All I have ever seen previously where based on the Road King style.

Okay, I get it sorry.

Well the batwing cop bike is very common here in Minnesota. The RK set up would be unusual here.

Attached our the St. Paul cops, and the State Patrol rides the same.

Bat wing RK is prolly more common in colder climates. The bat wing bike may offer more mounting options for communication and accessories like moving radar. CHP also uses the fairing bike.

This CHP bike is coming out of Bob Dron (now Oakland HD) where it underwent a cam change prior to delivery. AFAIK, Oakland HD is the exclusive distributer for the state bikes.

Its the 'get off' part that I am having trouble with. That is going to change within the next 6 months.
