Repair Manual-Clymer--any good
#3
Do you agree with that for newer bikes too? I've been thinking about getting a manual for my 11 Street Bob.

I have both Clymer and HD manuals for my '04 Softail. I rarely open the Clymer. The HD manual is worth the extra $$$ IMHO.

This question has been asked a thousand times and you will find everybody and their brother is going to tell you to get the HD manuals. The HD manuals will tell you how to do just about everything in detail. The others are general repair manuals and are not as detailed or thorough. The HD manuals are worth every penny. If you are getting one for a older bike, used manuals can be found on ebay, etc. Get the HD manuals.

Buy a Harley Service manual. It will not only be better, but will also list all spec and any special tools (some yo need & some you can get by without).
Every time I get another bike I add a manual if I don't already have one covering that model. You can find a used one on Ebay or new ones @ surdyke.com (20% off).
Better to have a good $45 - $60 manual that make $$$$ mistakes.

I had both and the HD manual has way more detail. Plus, It wouldnt sell on ebay. I had to add it to the HD manual and sell as a pair to get rid of it.

Oh No - Don't sell the manuals or let them go with the bikes. Things have a way of coming back around, even helping friends. Kind of a mini savings plan that keeps paying dividends.
