Has anyone purchased the updated Licks NovDot 3/4 helmet? If so, how do you like it? How is the quality? If you've also owned the Bell 500 how does it compare?

I currently own the older Bell 500 and am not the biggest fan of the interior liner and am looking at pre-ordering one of the Licks NovDot 3/4 helmets, but I don't know much about them.

I own and a wear the Licks 3/4. I have 3 other helmets and this is my favorite. It's light. Warm in the summer but again, warm in the winter.

 

...not sure why I'm upside down but you get the idea.

I have one. Comfy and low profile. Don't get the flat black one. Scratches very easy.

 

Thanks Iarecobra...I ended up ordering the flat black, didn't like the look of the gray one and neither were in stock.

 

Mine is some 4 years old. Wanted to get a new one and saw they have updated the design. Sucks they dont come in gloss black anymore. Flat black or flat gray.

 

I have one too. Also have 2 Bell 500s new and older design. The Licks is the best all around. And the helmet I wear most of the time. The new 500 custom is probably a better fit for my oval shaped head, but it's a lot bigger than the Licks.

You'll be very happy with the novdot.

I have the older Bell 500 and can't stand the liner in it, looks f'n ridiculous when your bald and take the helmet off and you have the damn pattern pressed in to your head (it is good for some laughs though)!

 

Ive had the flat black one for about a year now and I like it. Only thing Ive noticed is you gotta strap it up tight if your riding against the wind or it will try to raise up a little, but thats probably the same with most helmets.
