Default Screamin Eagle tuning with FM 107 Kit??

Anybody on today that's heard of bad luck with harley dealer tuning a Fuel Moto 107 kit? Fuel moto suggested using PowerVision have been getting great results. -service tech is most comfortable with screaming eagle and hasn't played with PV tuner.

I guess I'm a little hesitant to spend $320 ($80/hr) for tuning the wrong software... I saw a thread where a guy had similar hard part setup and ended up with 97hp with dealership when FM has 120+ posted on their page using the PowerVision.

Lets hear any opinions

Jake

what fm 107 build are you seeing 120hp on? and which one do you have/or are getting?

i had a straightforward 107 done from fm. no headwork, 555 cams, v&h 2-1 twin slash muffler with stock decatted exhaust. i didn't make anywhere near 120hp. in fact, i didn't break 100. i think i got 98hp, so 97 isn't that far out of line, depending on which components were used. i did get 124ft/lb torque and the bike ran great.

Same as in my new sig, level B heads, tw777, intake/exhaust, and PV tuning. I have been floating around the FM threads and have seen 115-121... Maybe I'm missing something I guess

Thanks!

A Technician with the proper knowledge of the SE tuner should have absolutely no problem what-so-ever getting the most out of a FM 107" kit provided he has been given the specifications on just what components were installed in the FM build.

Do you already have the tuner? If you have a Power Vision, get a base map from Fuel Moto with your other parts and use the auto tune feature to get it closer. Also, search Dynojet's page for authorized tuning centers near you.
If you have the Screaming Eagle tuner or want to go with that for best results from your dealer, then as OldEnuf said they should be able to dial it in regardless of parts if they know what they're doing. Do you have references based on others experience with your dealer? Also, check with the tech there beforehand to make sure they'll work with you on outside (non SE) parts.

I had a chance to talk to the service guys at JL harley in Sioux Falls when I called the other day... He said he has done tuning for custom builds with SE. I get that everyone is modifying the same things, just with a different software...

Unfortunately Im getting high expectations for dyno numbers. I have a buddy who did a fuel injected 124ci swap on his 06 RK and took a couple summers of riding before he found someone that could tune it for him. He was seeing 105ish hp and the latest tuner found close to 140hp with the same setup
